On September 19, 2025, Rail Day took place in Karlsruhe. At the KVV Customer Center, the regioKArgoTramTrain project offered an exciting glimpse into the future of sustainable mobility.

The team was on site together with Furtwangen University and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. Furtwangen University presented a VR model that allowed visitors to virtually experience the innovative Cargo Tram-Train concept. Karlsruhe University conducted active surveys to gather participants’ impressions and opinions about the project and the topic of freight transport by rail.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for public engagement and impressively demonstrated how interdisciplinary collaboration can drive forward future-oriented projects in rail transport.
